Our roots are in the field – not just behind a desk. We’ve walked the parcels, knocked on the doors, sat at the kitchen tables, and negotiated with landowners in places big developers can’t find on a map. We know what it takes to earn trust in rural communities, and we bring that same mindset to every project, agency, and substation fence line.

Rod Price
Rod began his career as a surveyor in the Marine Corps where precision, discipline, and mission-focus were non-negotiable. Those same principles now guide how he builds teams, manages risk, and keeps projects moving.
Before launching Ascend with his wife Lisa, Rod led large-scale operations for national firms and has overseen land, strategy, and right-of-way execution for more than $1 billion in energy infrastructure projects, including hydro, gas, wind, solar, battery storage, and transmission developments across the Pacific Northwest.
He founded Ascend Energy Group to help developers, EPCs, utilities, and transportation planners clear the path forward with better tools, better people, and a boots-on-ground commitment to getting it done.
Our leadership combines decades of experience in energy development, land negotiation, infrastructure strategy, and field operations, backed by military service, entrepreneurial grit, and real-world landowner relationships.
